Architecture is considered an inseparable part of human life and human societies, and is in fact a combination of taste, art, culture, and identity mixed with engineering and construction. It is based on the living environment, and its changes are interdependent. As changes in architecture are proportional to changes that occur in other areas of life, these changes require dynamic and living architecture to be able to respond to new human needs. Investigating and identifying the issue of cultural identity in the Qajar period with the approach of restoring the identity of traditional architecture in the city of Sari can take a step towards preserving the valuable heritage of the past and, in addition to building a culture in preserving ancient monuments, highlight the importance of the identity of traditional Iranian architecture in that period (which has been forgotten today) as a significant element. Since culture is a very important factor in building design, and this factor has undergone changes over time, such as economic, historical, and political factors, culture, as one of the identity factors, has played an effective role in the evolution of residential architecture in this region. On the other hand, to preserve these valuable cultural and social assets that give identity in the architectural dimension, it is necessary to recognize and examine the elements in different dimensions in order to utilize them and utilize them in today's architecture. In this research, while introducing this important factor in the city of Sari, and raising the question of what factors are effective in creating identity in the architecture of the Qajar period in a case study and what their characteristics are, the study will examine and adapt the interior spaces of residential houses according to the architecture of that time and how the factors are effective in the identity of the residential architecture of the city of Sari (Qajar period). Finally, while answering the questions, suggestions will be presented in this regard. It should be noted that the reason for choosing this house as a case study is that this beautiful and old house is located in the center of Sari, near the main square, and is currently being operated as a cultural heritage office, and its history dates back about 120 years. The features of its architectural components, such as rooms, chambers, the royal residence, baths, stables, courtyards, and the art used on the windows and sashes and their decoration with stained glass, are unique in their kind. On the other hand, although this house is similar to other houses of its era in terms of architecture, due to the owner's social status, who was from the nobility and had a political role in the country, it has fundamental advantages over other houses in terms of use and construction details, which added to its splendor and made it distinctive.
